WHY THIS ACTION AGAINST FIFA?

Because its transfer and contract termination rules make it very difficult for a player to end their contract and sign with a new club before its expiration.
The EU Court of Justice ruled that these rules violate players’ rights as workers and have caused them financial harm. The action seeks compensation for these losses.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?


Any professional footballer who has played in the EU or the United Kingdom since 2002, regardless of nationality or level.

WHAT IS THE DAMAGE FOR PLAYERS?


An illegal restriction of their professional freedom: less mobility, less bargaining power, potentially lower wages. On average, an estimated 8% loss of income during the affected years.

WHAT CAN PLAYERS RECEIVE?
